i don't know how some nerd did this, but i love it.
oh, these aren't just everyday kittens. they're hybrid monkey cats. jigga what?! yeah, you heard me. two of the funniest animals (in my opinion) got together and made babies.
we're currently pet-free right now, but i think i might make an exception. just as long as these monkey cats can walk on their hind legs and play drums while purring...
so bree (pete's sister) just got back from a month-long trip to japan (so jealous), and she was so gracious to find and bring back some fabric for me. now, i just have to hone my sewing skills. i've sewn 2 pairs of pants and a doll for izzy, but they all are very sloppy. blarg...
as for the family, izzy has changed a lot since i last updated you all. she is now walking! she also has 4 new teeth--molars, to be exact. she can sign "baby," and we've tried getting her to do the other signs but she just chuckles. she's down to one nursing session a day, and she's doing really well. despite her allergies, she is a happy eater. she'll eat just about anything. well, she doesn't like orange vegetables for some reason. oh, she talks a lot. it's still jibber-jabber, but she has a lot to say. she also has a lot of facial expressions to go along with what she is talking about. 
*don't be grossed out by her food. it's lentil soup. i make it every so often, and the kid loves it. 
*izzy at the local splash pad. there were a billion kids there, and they were all bigger. izzy was really nervous and cold, so she spent most of the time walking very slow and doing a weird chicken pose. see below.
browsing on ohbeedoh blog, i saw this:
it's ikea's play kitchen for kids! after shopping ikea stuff for a few years, i am not a fan of anything that you have to sit on. although, shelving and other miscellaneous items are just great. kids stuff for super cheap, even better! i mean, we all know kids stuff is going to get scratched, scribbled on, drooled on, whatever. so why pay a ridiculous amount of money for a play kitchen?
i've heard of people making their own, but i am not that creative or inventive.
apparently, it's not quite available stateside yet. i guess i will have to wait..
i'm not into superstitions or the cosmos or any other type of mystical thing, but i do believe in luck. good luck. bad luck. dumb luck. all of it. i believe that luck is god's humor or wrath. you can figure it out based on what happens to you.
anyway, i have now come to terms with the fact that i am the person who always finds hair in their food. always. i already have a weak stomach, so this doesn't help matters when i spot it. i never return the food either, because i'm too scared to bring it up. perhaps even too embarassed. i don't like conflict, and i fear the chaos that my pointing it out would stir. maybe i should bring it up. i could get more free meals out of it.
i wish this was not my reoccurring luck, but it just is. i'm sure i've consumed much worse than hair in my life. goodness knows we all have. i just prefer to see it attached to heads and not swimming in my thai food.

I don't know if any of you watch SNL, but they have a fantastic cast right now. I don't catch it as often as I would like. Its on late (Its implied in the title, right?) but I was watching it last night. The Weekend Update has always been a favorite of mine especially with Seth and Amy. Now Seth is on his own, but this skit i am posting a link to is one of my favorites from recent memory. If there are any BYU internet patrollers out there searching for data on incoming students; Yes I like SNL. Yes this skit has some swears in it. Yes I still love God and Jesus and Yes I still love being a Mormon and very badly want to go to BYU. So gimme a break.

happy anniversary to us. we are now five years strong. here's to another 5 years...and more.

oh and the title of the post if from "about a boy." pete and i love to quote movies A LOT, and this is just one of the things we like to say to each other when one of us says "i love you." i know. we're dorks.
