how did she do it?
i can admit that i am not really thin, but i'm also not that fat. granted, having a baby has put on some pounds. all of which i am hoping to and planning to shed after the delivery. however, i am so confused as to how some women get away with barely gaining anything but the actual baby.
today, this lady that works at my company stopped in to show everyone her new baby. she just had the baby 2 weeks ago, so i was thinking she would still have a little bit of the belly. did she, you ask? no! none at all. she looked like she never had a belly and got a massive boob job. she said she even put on her pre-pregnancy jeans on right after the baby was delivered. what?! how did she do it?
here i am, gorilla belly. hippo butt. elephant thighs. i know i am not going to be able to do what she did, and i guess i am fine with that (to an extent). let's just hope i can return to a semblance of my old self. or even a little bit better?
**i don't normally do this, but i hate her just a little bit.

mmm... i don't really like those women either. there are other kinds of women who say things like, "oh, breast feeding is the best! it just melts the fat away." i am not one of those women. in fact, i find it impossible to lose weight when i'm breast feeding. it sucks (yes, i get the irony). but, if i am going to get fat, i'm glad it's for such a good cause as my cute little babies.
don't you hate it when people say...
well everyone is different. Annoying but, I guess it's true. My guess is she didn't eat her entire pregnancy, and would you want that? no way!
no, i wouldn't want that. i think i've eaten rather well for most of the pregnancy. i only recently got my cravings for sugar or sweets, but i craved everything else too. i just wish that i hadn't gained my excess weight in the lower half of my body. oh well. it's good motivation to be more health-conscious after the babe is born, just exercising a bit more...which i'm not good at. i just wish i lived somewhere that i could walk to fun places rather than drive everywhere.
thanks for your comment amanda!
i found the instructions to make the painted onesies here.
