how soon we forget
the garbage pail kids movie was on one of the movie channels the other day, so i recorded it. i thought it would be nostalgic to watch it again.
i was wrong. creepy. creepy. schmeepy.
i got thru 5 minutes, and i couldn't do it anymore.
little monsters was on too, so i recorded that as well. this one actually brought back good memories. i love fred savage. or at least, i did when i was younger.
all i want to know is when they will finally put the wonder years together into a boxed set.

And the Garbage Pail Kids were pretty damn creepy. Seriously, the makers of that movie must have been doing meth. (Or some other scary drug...PCP maybe?)
Sad thing is that we actually own the Garbage Pail Kids movie. Nate gave it to Morgan for Christmas one year. Creepy as hell.
they've been trying to put the wonder years together in a boxed set for years, but because they used so many great, well-known songs they haven't been able to get the music rights. someday.
and yes, fred savage, goodness, so hot back in the day. not so hot anymore.
i was thinking the same thing lars. why would you make such a disgusting, creepy movie unless you were on some hallucinogenic? one of the writers was a woman though. she must have been trying to make cash from the popularity of it at the time.
mckelle, i am so sorry. i hope you don't have to watch it on a yearly basis...or at all. yuck.
yah, i heard about the music rights thing too. probably from you, sarah. mr. savage really isn't that hot anymore. his body grew, but his head didn't.
yeah we bought maddie an original my little ponies video...it was so creepy! but i do love little monsters! hoorah to fabulous old movies!

That was one of the few shows that my ENTIRE family sat down to watch. (Even my dad!) They were rerunning it on ION for a while, Dan had never seen it. Can you believe it.
I remember my brothers collecting the Garbage Pail Kids cards and stickers. They were creepy, I can't imagine a movie.
The show I still can't believe I watched as a kid was Sid & Marty Kroft's "Land of the Lost". That awful hissing that the Sleestak made makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!
